Tree Cutting Season

Approximately 1 in. in length, these needles don't even fall when they're dry, providing excellent needle retention. The color is a bright green. A common Christmas tree in the U.S., the scotch pine has an excellent survival rate, is easy to replant, has great keepability and will remain fresh throughout the holiday season. It is well suited for heavy ornaments.

Fraser firs are famous for their two tone needles. Each needle has a dark green top with a silver underside. With a stiff branch, soft needles, and pleasant aroma Fraser Firs are a treat to decorate. Fraser Firs have good needle retention.

(pronounced "Ka-naan", with emphasis on the last syllable) A newer variety that has become a very popular choice as a Christmas tree. Canaan fir Christmas tree has a firm branch with soft short needles. It has characteristics similar to both Balsam and Fraser fir Christmas trees.

This species is bluish-gray in color. The branches are very firm with sharp needles and about 1" in length. The needles have an unpleasant odor when crushed. This Christmas Tree has good symmetrical form and an attractive blue foliage. It also has good needle retention.

If you don't want to venture out onto the farm to cut your own Christmas tree, we also have pre-cut Christmas trees available for people who do not prefer the choose-and-cut style.
As a new farm many of our firs are not yet mature. In lieu of this we have brought in some pre-cut Christmas trees from other local farms. These Christmas trees have been cut within the last few days and are fresher than most any tree found on a commercial store lot.
